East Mountain Chamber of Commerce
Board Meeting—January 11, 2008
- Call to Order: The monthly board meeting of the East Mountain Chamber of Commerce was called to order by President Bill Walters at 9am, at Burger Boy.
- Board Members Present: Bill Walters, Loretta Olson, Ellen Ashcraft, Wayne Clay, Anne Hella, Peggy Moeller Mead
- Others Present: Julie Albright
- Approval of Minutes: Loretta motioned to approve the December Meeting minutes and Ellen seconded, and all approved.
- Treasurer’s Report: Bill reported $2984.95 in operating account. With a follow up that we needed to work on membership dues.
- Old Business
- Meeting Speakers: February is 311, March Talking Talons, April SASS, and May Clocks.
The rest of the months were works in progress.
- Bill spoke about Bay Stevens doing more Enterprise Training, this time perhaps on “Web Presence”.
- Treasurer, looking for a candidate.
- New Business:
- Camera- Loretta noted it would be good for the chamber to have a camera for events such as the ribbon cutting ceremonies. Ellen motioned to allow Julie a $100.00 budget for a digital camera, and Wayne seconded it.
- Networking Breakfasts- going well keep inviting new guests.
- Event Calendar- Loretta Olson selling spots a calendar for business’ to advertise. It would be a quarterly project.
- Golf Tournament- Talked about a Tri-Chamber Event. Sounds like a great event, need all chambers to adhere to the same guidelines. Bill to have meeting with other chambers to discuss.
- EMHS membership
- Mountain view Telegraph- need to remember there is a chamber page that we need to start participating in more.
- Merchants Service’s – the system that process’ credit cards. Will change to Sam’s club, when compare spending, Sams’ Club in more economical.
- Sam’s Club Renewal
- Next Meeting February 8th, 2008 8am at Burger Boy
